NEW YORK CITY (SEPTEMBER 1, 2022) — Kung Fu Tea, America’s largest bubble tea brand, announced a partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and Illumination Entertainment to celebrate the home release of Minions: The Rise of Gru, the fifth installment of the Despicable Me film series. The full-scale partnership is dedicated to the Minions characters and features a Minions-inspired limited-time drink, and specially designed Minions cups and lids. In addition, Kung Fu Tea is unveiling a line of exclusive Kung Fu Tea x Minions merchandise, including apparel, reusable straws, tumblers, and more. The partnership begins September 1, 2022.
The limited-time drink, named Minion Mischief, is a bold, delicious frozen slush dedicated to the Minions! Featuring a sweet tropical passion fruit slush that’s Minion-yellow, the tangy drink is perfectly paired with a new take on a fan-favorite topping, our new exclusive blue milk cap to add a creamy twist! Not only are Minion themed lids adorning every cup, but the cups themselves will feature the characters, inspiring customers to break out their kung fu moves and sip like a Minion!
To celebrate this upcoming partnership, Kung Fu Tea is hosting a sweepstakes on their Instagram page to mark the home release of Minions: The Rise of Gru. Kung Fu Tea’s social sweepstakes will begin on September 1st, 2022 with winners announced on September 29th, 2022. Twenty (20) winners will receive a digital Minions: The Rise of Gru movie code, along with a prize pack consisting of Kung Fu Tea x Minions merchandise. Additionally, Kung Fu Tea is hosting a contest on their TikTok page throughout September as well!
